This was the last painting I made on the trip, and I am glad it ended on a high note. The weather towards the end of my stay in Poland often had massive clouds that towered overhead. Whereas Shining Zlotoria featured a backlit scene, in this piece I tried to capture front lit clouds. I liked capturing a moment of passing light and shadow in the ground plane, and in the sky I attempted a more dynamic rhythm for the passing clouds. I'm unsure whether the clouds were truly so close to the ground, or if it was the lack of any trees on the horizon that added to their looming presence overhead.
