9x12in, oil on linen mounted to ACM panel
The Turtle fountain in Rome was designed by Giacomo della Porta and the bronzes were created bu Taddeo Landini.
This piece began as a follow along demo from the workshop, and I continued it on my own after the class ended. The particular light of this piece is a day where the sun manages to shine through a thin dusting of clouds in the sky. The lights remain somewhat warm, but the shadows lose their cool blue undertones from the lacking blue sky, and carry more of the silver color of clouds.
