The last full day in Switzerland ended being a bit of a rest day. It seemed that some of us were coming down with a cold. A couple of us tried to create a painting from a nearby forest, filed with Moss. In the past I've enjoyed mossy trunks, and felt confident I could find a picture in there.
What actually happened is I had two failed attempts for a lift off. I washed out the first attempt, and moved my easel over to focus on an entirely different tree after being unhappy with my first composition, only for that to happen again. The final painting is my third start on the same canvas in the same session.
