Composition often calls for creativity. This morning I met a friend without an idea of what to paint, and we spent quite a bit of time walking until we made our way to a small side street that led to the leather school of Florence. On that road was a view of the clerestory windows of Santa Croce. I attempted a scene of the dappled tree light on them, as I found the outer texture of the stained glass intriguing.
