One of the reasons I really wanted to get to Switzerland was to paint in Oeschinensee. It is one of the most iconic alpine lakes. One thing I realized I was missing on this trip was a more suitable backpack for longer hikes. It was close to 30 to 40 minutes to get to a view of the lake from the gondola. At that point I realized I probably was not going to go much farther with my heavy painting pack.
