Painting waterfalls is a great idea in a heat wave. It's also a great idea with a bunch of friends. And even better if the sun breaks through and makes a beautiful set of light and shadows.
This day had all three. It was one of those record-breaking days in France this June, and we had no air-conditioning in our Airbnb. Standing next to this waterfall I managed to feel TOO cold, so I walked up to the nearby caf� for lunch and an interesting sour cream and chestnut dessert.
Then I came back down to paint while everyone else was almost done. The light was amazing and shimmering with all the mist. The best of times.
