We managed to have some leftover energy after returning from Oeschinensee, and made it back to Rosenlaui for some sunset colors. This is perhaps my favorite piece from Switzerland.
As the sun set, the shadows crept up the mountains, and it was interesting to see which parts lost the light first. It's hard to realize at first, but you are seeing a line of peaks that slowly grow higher. The tallest peak in the painting is one of the shortest in real life - the Klein Wetterhorn, which overlaps the Wetterhorn, the Mittelhorn, and several others.
The orange clouds at the end of the session were just a chef's kiss on a perfect session.
