After I finished my painting, I became a little jealous of some of the less obvious compositions chosen by my friends. One aspect of the scene was the glaciers present on either side of the central peaks.
One of my tenets of composition is to try to zoom in on interesting vignettes that allow the shapes of the scene to create an interesting, abstract design. That is exactly what I tried to do on this piece with the glacier to the left of the central peaks.
