Afterwards, I found myself waiting by the gondola as everyone else was painting and scattered across the trails. In the afternoon, clouds started to form over some of the peaks. For a while I have felt that there is a lot of room left for me to grow when it comes to my understanding of clouds and ability to capture an interesting rhythm, form, and light design while out in the field.
The clouds seemed to hover right on the peak, casting a shadow that lost the edge between the snowy mountain and cloud itself, while spots of breaking light found some of those edges.
