12x9in, oil on linen mounted to ACM panel
This was the last demo of the workshop in Rome. This one was the only painting which was more of a traditional demo where I painted and chatted about the process for an uninterrupted morning (usually I run around like a headless chicken and don't get too far on the follow along demos - at least that's kind of how the first three days went)
I particularly enjoyed this side of the Sant'Angelo Bridge. The low water line and shimmering reflection of the bridge really caught my eye. The cutwaters, texture of the stone, and spare greenery also added to the visual interest.
