30 Aiguille des Grands Charmoz

$1,000.00

12x9in, oil on linen mounted to ACM panel

After our time in Switzerland ended, we found ourselves in Chamonix, and wasted no time and definitely did not save the best views for last. On the first full day we took the Montenvers train up to Mers de Glace - the famous winding glacier of Chamonix. It was an incredible view, but in the morning I decided to focus on a different peak - Aiguille des Grands Charmoz.

The air was thick, and it created a lovely subtle light on the mountain. There was a subtle contrast between the lights and shadow of the rock, and the remaining snow from the past season draped the sides of the north face.
