A roman welcome - a painting I squeezed in before the start of the workshop in Rome, while I was only staying there for a week's time before reuniting with friends.
The better story is that I did not realize the spot in front of this door was a parking space for mopeds. In my nicest Italian (which is not any good at all) I kept asking people to please park a few spaces down.
The funniest of which was when a local, elderly man tried to kindly explain that I was not allowed to paint the door - it was private property. After some confusion I managed to explain I was making a painting of the door, across the street, and not painting on the door itself.
