They say one of the best ways to learn a subject is to teach it. I’d agree. And I’m lucky that I also enjoy it! But more importantly, I believe in paying things forward.
I would not be the artist I am today without my teachers. As a student, I felt that so much of the lessons of artists I admired were lost, and we were still trying to put the pieces back together. Now, I think I may have even figured out a thing or two. If you like the type of painting I like and are looking to grow as a painter, I’d love to help.
Youtube
If you’re looking for some easily digestible videos or to answer questions, check out my youtube channel first. Plenty of tips and tricks on specific topics, insight on materials, break downs of masters, and longer discussions of my own work.
Patreon Tutorials
Each month, I share a new highly polished video tutorial on my Patreon. You get to watch the entire process with clear views of the painting, palette, and subject, start to finish. One small fee gets you access to a library that by now, is getting pretty big!
In Person Workshops
Nothing quite beats getting individual feedback on your paintings in person, and I try to keep some of the demo’s interactive by allowing you to follow each step with me in real time. Also, the locations are pretty sweet. I do several workshops around the world each year, click below to learn more.
Annual Masterclass
My next big project is an annual masterclass. A live, online workshop, that is more in depth than any workshop can possibly be, yet more accessible. I want to create the clear structure that I never had. I’m thinking of calling it “Everything I know about Landscape Painting”. Stay tuned for more info!
